Finally the perfect EBike. This is my 3rd ebike. The first did not have enough power to get up hills, the second was a dual motor over compensation of power and way too heavy to transport into my RV travels. But now the Magnum Premium 3 Torque LS folding bike has it all.
Plenty of power for hill climbing and light enough to fold up and load in the truck and eliminate the need for a bike rack. And as an added huge bonus, when my tail didn’t work after assembly, a quick call to customer service and a new tail light was shipped no questions asked. Great EBike and great after sale service. Finally, the perfect EBike. Thank you Magnum.
I love the bike. I call it my new electric vehicle. I take it grocery shopping, to doctor’s appointments, and just around town. It is so much better than my regular bike, because I do not live in fear of red lights before a hill. There are train overpasses that I found I had to walk my regular bike up. For short trips on local roads, it is just as fast as driving, and parking is not an issue.
I ride my bike to and from work and this has been a lifesaver for any additional bags that I’m carrying! I have crate basket on the back of MyMelody bike and use this front one for my lunch bag.

I’m enjoying the basket so far I was able to carry some groceries in it and some other items. I really like the bamboo I’m just wondering if it could be a couple inches deeper so that things fit in there a little bit tighter maybe only like a couple more inches.
The mechanic assembled the new tire but with throttle engaged the tire doesn't t turn. Seems to be locked. Push the bike and the pedals move forward with the bike. Will not coast and pedals will not move backwards. Bike accelerated on its own. Throttle spring ok
I’ve had the Magnum Edge from Costco for about a month now, and overall I’ve enjoyed riding it, especially the 26x4 tires. They feel stable and solid on different surfaces and give the bike a really confident ride.
The motor is strong and easily reaches 28 mph without much effort. I also like that it has both cadence and torque modes. With cadence mode, you can lightly pedal and still hit top speed pretty comfortably, which makes cruising really easy.
One thing I actually appreciate is the display, it shows useful info like motor power (watts) and voltage. That said, the placement of the screen is a downside for me since it’s positioned low. It makes you look down while riding, which doesn’t feel very safe because your attention should really stay on the road.
I’ve noticed the battery indicator can be a bit inconsistent too. For example, when I stop, it sometimes changes from 3 bars to 4 bars, which makes it a little confusing to read.
The bike itself looks great, I got the light blue camouflage color, and it really stands out in a good way. I also like small details like the bell, which is loud and effective, and the option to store an AirTag, which adds a bit of security.
However, there are definitely some downsides. The front light is pretty weak for a bike that can go 28 mph. It only lights up a short distance ahead, which doesn’t feel safe at higher speeds or in the dark. I’ll probably need to upgrade it with a better aftermarket light. For a $2100 bike, I really expected stronger lighting out of the box.
The seat is another issue, it gets uncomfortable after about 15 minutes of riding. I’ll likely have to replace it with something more cushioned for longer rides.
It also surprised me that there’s no rear light included, and accessories like the rear rack and fenders are sold separately. For the price, I feel like those should already be included, especially something as important as a rear light for safety when braking.
Overall, the bike performs well in terms of motor, braking, and battery, and it’s fun to ride. But it definitely feels like they cut corners on some important accessories and comfort features. If you’re okay spending a few extra hundred dollars on upgrades, then it becomes a much more complete and enjoyable setup.
**Update:** After posting my review, Magnum reached out to me personally to answer my questions and explain some of the features I mentioned. I really appreciate them taking the time to listen to my feedback and provide more information about the battery indicator, lighting, and accessory options.
It’s great to see a company that cares about customer experiences and is willing to improve. The Edge continues to be a fun bike to ride, and I appreciate Magnum’s support and customer service.
There was no battery connector attached to the replacement unit. I had to purchase a soldering iron, strip the wires and solder it. Now I am having connection issues with the battery. Very frustrating
Overall, a very nice bike basket! The only issue I ran into was with my bike cables. Initially, the basket snagged the left brake cable, which restricted my left turns. However, after reinstalling it three times and experimenting with different cable configurations, I got it to work perfectly. It no longer limits my steering, and most importantly, it doesn't interfere with the brakes.
We inherited two eBikes without chargers, and needed to buy two. One 48 v. for my Peak 29" and one 36 v. for my wife's Mi5. Both seem to be working fine. I worry about fires with aftermarket chargers, and was happy to pay the extra for the real deal.
I am a 6"1" 210 pounder. Fit is perfect. Plenty of power. Sturdy good looking bike. Very happy. Added tannus armor, Back rack, rear view mirror and front and rear fenders with integrated light. ( installation instructions for the light were non existent) Still haven't figure out how to hook it up. Tech help said to connect to wire at controller, There are a few wires tucked in there don't really want to start tugging around to find the right one. Other than that, I am Golden. Might buy one for wife. (minus the taillight!) Update, EXCELLENT customer service. Dusty sent instructions as well as photos and I now have a taillight. Thanks Magnum.
Had the Magnum ui5 for 7 years. On 2nd battery. Added bar for gopro, 1700 lumen lights, extra rear safety strob light, phone mount and electronic horn, seat post shock, rear basket. Completely satisfied. Get lots of compliments. Thank you.
